Tattoo Removal 04

Photo Retouching Techniques

Following suit from the last photo, I thought it wise to continue to work on smaller projects to build my confidence and improve upon basic techniques. This particular photo was fairly simple to work with as the skin tone on the wrist where her tattoo is happens to be very light and almost void of shadows. I was able to heal the wrist area quite quickly and then merely went over some parts with the clone stamp to keep the texture intact.

As you will see from other Tattoo Removal pieces, the further away the subject is, the much cleaner the photo looks. When I work with close up shots of tattoos on skin, oftentimes the textures and hair are noticeable and create more challenges that require more time and effort to work around.
